“Long Term Water PPP Contracts – Portugal the experience of Aquapor” (written in English) is a speech held for the occasion of the International Conference “Public–Private Partnerships in the water and sanitation sector: an exchange of experiences between Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa”, organized by the UNECE International PPPs Centre of Excellence and the World Bank in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank. Portugal was facing a social and financial crisis and constant water consumption reductions, so PPP concessions needed to find solutions for its sustainability.
